Re: Jasmine (rescue horse) update

I wonder if someone was breeding for western pleasure. She certainly is not built for that. But definitely built for a bridle horse which, right now, is my plan for her.

Re: Jasmine (rescue horse) update

W-O-W!! If I were the person that dropped her at the auction, I'd be kicking myself right about now. Love her! Yep! Any idea why she was being auctioned? She is just something! I really have no idea why they took her to auction. Her feet were messed up but with some routine trimming they are pretty...

I don't know why I decided to turn the camera off at that moment, it was just starting to get good

Thanks everyone. I'm just glad she is happy and healthy.

Here is a short video of her first foray out into the pasture. Love her little prance at the end. https://youtu.be/8q1oDuhVO8Q

Re: Jasmine (rescue horse) update

Thanks everyone. I can't get over how lucky I got. When you rescued her, it really made me fantasize about an auction save. She is is just gorgeous. Does she still have the wonderful brain tendencies you mentioned when she first came home? She is entering the terrible twos I think. LOL. I worked her...

Jasmine (rescue horse) update

I rescued a little filly off of the kill lot this time last year. Here is a picture of her at the auction lot and a picture of her out in the pasture today. I got very lucky I think. She is a hoot to work with too. She is not two yet, at least I don't think so. Best guess is about 18-20 months. I th...

I'm sorry you got sick. Never fails does it? Yes, we are having a late flu season. I do the influenza surveillance for a large hospital system in north Texas and influenza just started hitting here about two weeks ago. I still has been a pretty quiet flu season though. Hope you feel better soon.

Re: Recent weird food cravings

Beer...I usually don't like it. My adult beverage of choice is wine but one summer I was craving the taste of beer. It actually lasted a month or two and I haven't craved it since. Just weird.

Re: Would you buy a trailer without a dressing room?

I have a two horse slant load bumper pull with a dressing room in the front and tack in the back. I would not trade my dressing room for anything! When I was showing it was great to store my stuff and change in. Now that I'm not showing so much and doing more trail riding I put a little porta potty ...

I really like Kaspersky's. Runs quietly in the background without taking up a lot of resources. I've been using it for years and it hasn't failed me yet.

Re: General photography related stuff thread

I'm late to the party! Love seeing everyone's photography. I'm still enjoying my new Nikon D-5500 and my Tamron 600mm zoom lens. I'll try to post a couple of my favorite photos. I'm using Fine Art America to display my art and have made a few sales to friends on there but not much else. I've done so...
