Re: Who wants to be horse of the month for May?

I'm actually not quite sure how this happened as I figured, being on the west coast, all the people in time zones ahead of me would have seen the post way earlier. So I had pretty much just forgot looking for any horse of the month posts. Somehow it just happened to be in my face.

Also, something to pass on to your nephew if he's buying the house. Don't mold test. Just figure out where the moisture is coming from, correct the problem and get the mold remediated. Once a house has a mold test, that information stays with the house for every sale. If he plans on selling the hous...

Yup I agree, not a good professional no matter who the agent is representing. Here there are some agents who will pay for the home inspection. Or if the home inspector calls for a pest inspection or engineer or roofer/plumber/electrician to come in and assess, they will pay for that. Full disclosure...

Re: Help with real estate dilemma please

The realtor typically works for the seller, not the buyer. They try to get the best price for the seller. He should totally walk away from this house and the realtor. Bad news all around. This is why you never use the seller's agent. ALWAYS get your own agent to represent you. Around here it's cons...

Butt, Bite, and Body Slam...The three B's of being a D. Donkeys do fine with horses. An older donkey, especially a female, will have less of a tendency to want to fool around.

Waaaahhhh! I want a new lens! I've found myself using my 24-105mm most of the time for a walk around lens and it's just not as sharp as my 70-200mm. But it's so convenient for so many things. I'm coveting the 24 -70mm, which is so much better a lens. Can't swing it at the moment.

He'll be transported on Wednesday and I'll go over next week to t...

Suzon, think about a donkey to fill her mother's place. My donk gives off an energy that is enabling, compassionate, sucks you into him for love and much needed hugs. A donkey might help her get over her grief. A consideration. Well, she would still have her father (who lives with them and is a gel...

Bumping this back to the top with pictures. This is Keiki. He's 9 and comes from the same breeder as Hilary (pig I rescued last year). I would not be surprised if he's a full brother. His current "parents" have relegated him to a pen in the back yard where he is ignored. They are moving an...

It's a big deal. I think about this a lot because I have two mares that are inseparable (mother and daughter). Tempi, the daughter, has never been a happy horse. She's fine to work with but is unhappy undersaddle and I'm sure she's uncomfortable. I've never found the key, but she's just not happy. S...

So I like to say "in the summer I have three horses. In the winter I have two horses and a yak." My mare has always been a giant walking pom pom in the winter and then makes a dramatic display of blowing her coat in February, leaving a trail of white fluff behind her. She's 27 this year, s...
