I had the Listers when my Morgan mare was still living. She had cushings. They were amazing. I also would clip wet, right after a bath. It helped with all the hair getting everywhere. Honest question, why the ration balancer? Generally speaking our hay around here is only really deficient in copper/zinc...well know actually it's high in iron so copper and zinc is needed. Why ration balance as opposed to just a Vit/Min supplement like CA Trace that doesn't have any extra stuff? Gl...

Would help prevent the thermal water blanket thing in addition to allowing evaporation at the skin level. That thermal water blanket is really a t...

Chisamba I'll agree with you that thermal imaging is often misused or used inaccurately. My trailer is fully enclosed with screened windows. Re: I just got a horse trailer, tips?
Sure. So tying to the stock type bars. When you do that, and you will often see this, the lead rope (usually loop chained up) often winds up on the outside the trailer. By design, so the horses don't chew it, or the horse is led in, rope tossed out, tied from the outside so it can then be untied fro...

Couple of things, and I haven't read the whole thread so this may be repeats. Don't tie to the bars. Get some rings welded inside. One of my trailers has mangers, I'll take a pic if you need them. A true driving whip is very light and very stiff. They have to be (if you're driving a single horse) long enough to touch the horse's' shoulder without changing your hand position. I was driving an 18 hand Shire and my whips were long enough, and light enough, that my whip hand never got tired.
