Let me chime in to say that I agree with everyone in this thread. It is difficult but you need to put your children's safety first. Your MIL can choose to believe what she likes but you don't have to put your children at risk nor you mental well-being because of worry. I do hope that your husband en...

Re: New ways of handling people w/allergies on planes

But is Benadryl always a powerful enough medication to prevent the situation from worsening? Would it have guaranteed the boy wouldn't have gone into anaphylactic shock? For my son it did. I have no idea as to this situation but if the boy was in danger of anaphylactic shock I would assume that the...

Re: New ways of handling people w/allergies on planes

the problem with the story is that we don't know all the facts. Perhaps the parents were being rude on the plane? I agree with straightforward that removing the animal wouldn't have changed anything. I am also thinking that if I had a child with allergies like this I would have medications on me to ...

Jingles for a peaceful passing - Update She's gone

My mother has been battling cancer for a while now. Suddenly, last week everything fell apart. I'm sitting by her bed while she sleeps - heavily medicated for pain. I am wishing for this latest trial of hers to be brief and that she passes in her sleep. UPDATE: Thank you everyone for the wishes. It ...

so when we built our barn this is how I did the stalls:
