Re: Rehabbing the mild stifle strain
The vets really didn't think that the injury was severe and thought that ultrasound was unnecessary. I think part of it was how the swelling presented itself or something? I'm not sure but I do think I am going to push for ultrasound sometime this month. I think it'll just make me feel better. But ...

I see something, yes, but nothing severe. If you haven't had his neck checked I would do that, too. He is a very pretty boy! May I ask why you think to check his neck? He had very obvious swelling and heat in his stifle. But I agree It doesn't look as severe anymore but it definitely has improved. ...

It was muggy and the ai quality was not so good and I sweated non stop and drank non stop water with Gatorade powder. Lets talk about stretching for the mid-upper level lads and lassies (for real this time)
So one major challenge I have had as I go up the levels (right now I'm just at second third ish- so clearly not a high level but hear me out) but I find that I have to really consider stretching- its not often brought into a clinic or lesson format due to time. I find that I have to think about how ...

It's a public forum, so even if you're talking to one person, you're talking to everyone. Just seems to me that anyone secure and confident in their training methods wouldn't be on a blog slandering someone else and wasting their time. And again, scores mean nothing when the wrong things (see below...

Precisely. I have some students now and I ALWAYS encourage taking a lesson with other instructors. The idea behind the way they sit is to stretch yourself up in the saddle to create a light seat and the leaning back to help engage the hind/back. The moving hands is to keep contact and ask the horse to stay in the stretch when the head comes up (even the tiniest bit obviously). Since they ride wi...
