I have found that if I put my long johns on first, then socks over them, then the warm breeches, the long johns do not ride up as the socks keep them in place.

This should be interesting! In 1974 I bought a large (?3x5) needlepoint canvas of one of the unicorn tapestries, in Brugge. I never did much on it but maybe it is time!

Sorry for being obtuse - I did look mine up on the internet, although I couldn't imagine that it would be there, and it was. But the blade had an identifying mark of a newer model. As I thought, I have replaced the blade but the one I have is on the recall list.

Ha! I think mine is from the 1980s, and I am getting a new blade! I actually think that the blade I have is a replacement - I think the plastic broke years ago.

I have a black pair with some black leather (a black leather dragon outlined in red thread). The black is rubbing off as well, but it says not to wash, just to dry clean.

This year I did the dark meat as a confit, so the skin went in with it. I took the (seasoned) breast skin off the light meat and baked it in the oven for 45 minutes at 400 between two pieces of parchment paper and two baking sheets. Was pretty good.

Well, I put in the order for an Ultra suede material but now I have to pick the color - not sure that the color palate I like (raspberry) goes with the floor (cherry). And I do not like oranges or yellows, which do go with the floor.... Sigh.

I recall reading that horses see quite well in dim light, so if darkness doesn't spook you, you should be fine with little light.

Dressing for undressing in the Grand Canyon?

Am going to raft down the Grand Canyon. They suggest some kind of sarong to wear in camp, and to use to change under. Anyone have any idea of exactly what this might be? Sounds like a tent with holes for arms and legs to me! :lol: But seriously, any suggestions would be great.

I would worry about the potential damage ivy can cause. A mature ivy plant can be very heavy, and can worm its way into cracks and damage wood or brick. I do not know which types might be safer for houses but I have been warned about ivy climbing chimneys.

I do 45 minutes of Pilates and 45 minutes of physical therapy, designed for my neck and back and asymmetries, three times a week. Then I ride two horses four times a week. Then I feel that I need a nap, but I have to go to work. Oh well!

She isn't riding in the outdoor much these days - either the indoor, or the trails (where there are deer and turkeys and bears oh my!)

I don't know what she did with the slope originally, but it has been expensive, and since she doesn't use it much, she is not working on it.

Can you have a tax break for retired people, or seniors over X (where X recedes by one year on my birthday because I refuse to be called a senior)? Mt parents live in a town where seniors get a tax break on real estate taxes.
