Re: The Big Black Freight Train

Okay... did this work? I took this picture of Lucas last month.... As you can see, he is a fairly big fella, yes, overweight, but we are really gonna work on that! Please don't judge me! LOL!

Re: The Big Black Freight Train

I have no real current picture of him, I will take one tonite or tomorrow when I am at the barn. It can be our "before" pictures like you see for people starting a weight loss or body building phase. I will take front, sides and behind pictures. He is very overweight. How he hasn't founder...

The Big Black Freight Train - GOING HOME

If you didn't read it in the Goals Thread already, I have decided to make use of my 14 year old Canadian horse, Lucas. This thread will be a little bit of a journal, yet I know I will be asking all of you on this board for advice. Background (bear with me please).... I was browsing Kijiji one day, a...

Re: Goals Thread...

I love all the stories and updates! Update from me - well, Yonka came home yesterday, he has been at the trainer's/my coach's place since March and it was time for him to come home. He needs the winter off to eat like a piggy and grow like a weed. We never did get on him, but we put a lot of time an...

Re: I need a new phone

Perfect timing for this thread - I am on the hunt for a new phone too. I have an HTC One right now and it hasn't given me any grief whatsoever. I am going to stick to Android. I am picture and video freak, so need something that excells in this area.

Re: For Tabby (and others) Canadian Elections

One rumor/theory I did hear, was if Harper was elected, that his own party would actually punt him. That is why they really want him to win this time around as they are even tired of his antics.

Re: For Tabby (and others) Canadian Elections

I've yet to see a logical explanation for where the money will come from for all the things they are promising, but that's not new at election time I guess. I said this out loud in front of a group of people I was with one day .... Silence ... I was stunned at the fact that no one had considered it...

Re: For Tabby (and others) Canadian Elections

Advance polling-is there something "hinky" going on? I absolutely think so - gut feeling reasoning, but still, I really do think there is something behind that. And for the campaigning, sheesh, I have never heard, in all my voting life, soooo much trash talking. There are a few federal ca...

Re: Retraining the Reining-trained Quarter Horse

Sh, If you are familiar with the schooling involved in Traditional French equitation you can effect the changeover very well but of course it won't happen overnight. It is an interesting, and very satisfying, journey. To try to go from little or no contact to the contact practiced in competitive dr...

Re: Goals Thread...

I guess I should jump in. ;) My four year old, Yonka, that I had in training, has reached his mental capability for this year and will come home. My 14 year old, Lucas, will go and take his place. Lucas is broke to ride, but he is going there for weight management. My goals are 1) to make the swap 2...

Re: Tell us about YOU.

Hi everyone, My name is Tuddy, and I have been a long time lurker, short time poster of the board(s). I live on a farm 20 miles NE of Regina, Saskatchewan. Both my husband and I have full time, off the farm, full time jobs to support our farming and horse habits. We have 14 cows that we keep year ro...

Re: "What's for dinner?"

It is Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend, but I am working, so I think it will be noodles and beef tonite. My favorite food of all time, as simple as it sounds is beef and noodles. I take ground beef and fry it with garlic and oregano, then boil some noodles and when they are both done, I drain the ...
