Re: Not A Sprain, LYME!
I'm in NW Michigan Piedmont. When I was a kid there were NEVER ticks around here. Then again, there was not the deer population either, and that has certainly changed as well. And I'm so sorry Tanga. I hope there are pain meds that help as long as she stays with you. The lesson learned is, if your d...

Not A Sprain, LYME!
After being three-legged lame on his right front, 36 hours later my dog was lame on his left, and his right seemed fine. Could NOT determine any particular area of pain, he was just mopey and sore. Trip to the vet this AM and a blood draw and he has Lyme disease. That's actually good news compared t...

I find baby oil too oily. Same with the butters. Isn't coconut oil like that as well? And I've never heard of the Josie Maran lotion. Off to search that.

Dog Sprained Wrist
It appears my dog has badly sprained his right front leg at the wrist/ankle. It's Saturday afternoon. I did a quick search and found Benadryl is supposed to be ok to use as a bit of a pain killer, but does anyone have any other suggestions? He's really hurting - acknowledging that he's a bit of a ba...

Well then, forget the detailing... Buy yourself a new car! Or a horse! Or a trip! (I had no idea they'd gotten so expensive) Hang in there. Theoretically, you're supposed to be over the physical craving, now you need to disrupt the little habits that linked something to smoking, ie. cup of coffee an...

I picked it up a couple years ago at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival. Well, it's turning into a really nice magazine with ...

She was my first mare. Bett On Zena. Zena, Warrior Princess. Broodmare Extrodinaire. Selfish Act of the Month
I just used the word "selfish" in another post and it reminded me of a maneuver I saw yesterday at a tiny local Post Office. Granted, the ability to park within 30' of the door is limited, however, there are at least four spots across the wide two-lane street. Three, because I parked in on...

I'm on the planning committee for a very large, very diverse township. Check for a noise ordinance, not a dog ordinance. These are obviously terrible owners if they've "come to terms" with the idea their dogs may be shot or hit by vehicles. Bleh. Be the squeaky wheel until they get rid of ...
