Accountability
I am starting this thread as I am back on the getting healthy wagon. I've had, literally, 6 months of eating and drinking anything I can get my hands on. I feel like garbage. Started cleaning up my diet after my clinic last week, and started back at the gym. I take regular pole dance/fitness classes...

Day 2 Foundation Class. Fun with Flags (if you ever watched Big Bang Theory, you may have just chuckled at that title hee hee) The purpose of this clinic, (to me, it seemed), was to get to the horses feet. By getting to its feet, you are getting to its mind, and by getting to its mind, its attention...

Have you had a vet out to listen to his cough? When Yonka came home from the trainers and he had that viral infection, he would cough a lot. I finally gave him, and Tuddy, who also caught the boogers, a round of Exceed. Cleaned them right up and I haven't heard any coughing at all. And it has been i...

Also, personally, I'm feeling rather ragey because I'm seeing someone who, through the book she wrote, has hoodwinked people into thinking she's a kind, caring, classical rider, all the while she's ripping and sawing her horse through GP test after GP test......( Well, we're going off topic here, b...

Re: " competed through to the FEI levels"?
I agree. I wasn't there, but it sounds like this rider wasn't ready for a clinic. Some responsibility is on the clinician for not making it clear what type of riders/horses he is willing to work with. If this clinician was helpful to the other riders, I would bring him/her back. I was in this simil...

I've mentioned before I don't like the word "submission", it sounds so one-sided. I want to have a relationship with my horses, we both have brains and feelings; therefore, I would rather we cooperate together instead of me calling the shots all the time. Yes, there will be times when we n...

This happens to my Canadians yearly. I deworm with ivermectin, yet seem to have problem year after year. I've decided to treat my guys with Alpha Omega Para-X and will see if that helps. Schools out for Summer! (well for my 2 legged kid that is).
Now that the horses have been cleared of whatever virus they had, back to work they go. Lunging starts this week and both Tuddy and Yonka are booked into horsemanship/riding clinics in August. Time to prep for that.

And, as with most sales ads, the seller generally prices the horse a little higher than its worth, so that negotiations get them the price th...
