Wow!!! Those photos are amazing. I don't have those sort of colours around here.
In fact, I've been taking pics of blossoms lol. But yep, autumn is certainly beautiful.

Re: Worth updating to Windows 10?
You can update, and if you don't like it you can revert back to how you had it.
I tried it with mine, and straight away got stuck in this never ending loop of restarts. I had to mash keys to stop it and luckily there was the option to go back to how it was before.. phew.

Re: Young horses of 2011
I've got a 4yo Andalusion cross Trakhener. I've had him for nearly a year now, and it's been slow progress. He's VERY sensitive but a bit of a nugget at the same time. He's big and will take a while to grow into himself I expect, so I'm just doing little bits of riding at a time including riding dow...

Can't keep a fly veil on around here!!
We're in a warm spring here and the flies are out in force. My little black horse had a bath ready for a comp tomorrow, and my other horse is a monster around them!! He's 4 and I'm hoping he'll grow out of it.

Re: Goals Thread...
We have our last competition for the year this coming weekend and are once again dipping our toes into second level- 3.3 the hardest one! At least I'll be prepared for next year I guess! Meee tooo!! I've only done a couple of dressage comps this year, and finishing off for the year with the ...

Re: Introducing counter canter
I used to hate counter canter. So I just had to do more of it. I only have a 40 by 20m arena too, so I'd do big ovals in it in counter canter, especially on our 'bad' side. One of those things, just keep cracking away at it :) Video yourself too, if you haven't got much instruction available. Just s...

That third jump looks a bit fancy! And that 4th one is a decent height. Nice one!!

Re: Introducing counter canter
I was taught to start them with shallow loops? Even just coming off the longside only 2m at first, then gradually making them deeper.

Re: Goals Thread...
I'm still aiming at getting flying changes sorted. That's the long term goal. So, with my instructor I've been working on lateral stuff in canter and for this month it will be getting a better half pass, and quarters in on the circle in canter. My little guy is very cute and tries so hard.
