Maia was so good and relaxed (or eventually relaxed) our first few rides here, but there was no relaxing and getting down to work today  At least she wasn't being crazy? There were people there. And dogs. And three cats. And a horseless rider who had the gall to sit in the observation box at t...

My old barn owner had increased fees by $100 in January. It was the largest one-time increase she'd ever charged us in nearly 15 years. I started out paying $550/month and was up to $800 by the time we left. The new place is $770, including staff. The old place was a quarter the size, and only the b...

Before hosing, did she check the temp of his feet? And take his body temp? If hand walking and cold hosing his chest don't drop the temp, try an ice bath for his front feet. Maia’s now a Texas horse
So far she hasn’t demanded AC! There is a gelding at her new barn with his own minisplit. On the new BO’s advice, I’m leaving her on electrolytes.

Learn to park. You can't presume everywhere will have drive forward/through parking. Learn to back into a space, around things, much like backing a car into a parking spot.
