For me, being able to do good canter work for 10 minutes straight takes about the same amount of fitness as doing a slow jog or fast walk for 10 minutes straight. I have ridden with Jeremy S and also audited a number of times. I and my horse have improved a lot from what we learned from him---like that I could increase my demands on my mare and myself (at that time). I think he is very fair, but I would most enjoy riding with him when my horse is fit and heal...

I'm of no use, as I don't leave my dog(s) inside our 3.5 acre exercise area without supervision. If we leave them outside while we are driving in and out of the area, they are in a secure kennel run or in the house. But I have bird dogs!

Lucky hound! Yes, quite possible he was dumped because he was injured. Some people are terrible like that with hunting dogs.

Do note that he not particularly underweight at all (and he doesn't need to be heavy to heal from that injury).
