Koolkat - the older coyotes are not as red as the baby, but they do have distinct reddish / yellow areas on them, mainly legs and neck.

Your elk (?) just didn't leap high enough, poor thing!

It's sad that people can't respect other people's property and 1) stay off land they're not supposed to get onto and 2) leave other people's cameras the **** alone!

piedmont - yeah, that's a good idea. we also have a few (wild) Persimmon trees in the yard, and the coyotes come get the fruit as well when they ripen. Yeah the cats are pretty good. Most of them just pop him on the nose if he gets too wild, and usually no claws, so fair game.

Yes, there is an armadillo on that December set at about 20 sec mark. I like to see them because they're on camera much less than the other small critters (skunks, possums and raccoons).

I keep moving the cameras again, as I'm not getting anything worthwhile. The new camera was in the pasture where the horses are, and one of them kept spooking at it every time he walked by.
