Re: The Holiday Food Table - Be warned, I am ranting

Tuddy - people can be so inconsiderate! However, I actually had no idea that people with gluten intolerance are so sensitive that cross contamination is a concern! So thank-you for that. I used to be vegan (as an experiment). I was vegan for 6+ months and during that time I also completely eliminate...

Byrdie - he's looking so much stronger!! One thing I think that will help these transitions is if you look UP. I know it's hard to stop yourself from looking down, but it's a habit that you need to break. Looking down is pulling your head forward which in turn collapses your whole front line. This r...

Kyra's Mom - thank-you for that. You were 100% right in that I was blocking him in the canter and trying to compress him too much. Your comments made me realize that he NEEDS to use his neck in canter to balance himself. So over the past three weeks I've been focusing on being softer and letting him...

Re: Stole this from Mike Matson on Coth, Zonik, E Gal's new ride

I can't watch the video at the moment, but it's interesting that you find it tense and artificial. After I posted on the Zonik thread, I went back and watched the Zonik video again and those are exactly the words I was thinking when I stopped watching Gal and started watching the horse. He's gorgeou...

Just an update to say the salt is working!!! Temps dropped to -10 last night and everything is frozen solid EXCEPT my arena. Re: Need help to correct rider collapsing right hip

If your hips are uneven on the ground I'd suggest Physio. I get regular Physio from an athletic movement specialist and a few months ago we worked on my uneven hips. With a set of exercises targeted toward evening them out, and a month's worth of work on my own, they were level again.

I agree that is a lovely, lovely ride. His hands are incredible. I am not a Gal fan because of all the photos like that shown above, but if the tact and softness that was shown in the video was how he trained when no one was watching I would definitely be in his fan club.

My first horse was a QH. He is 27 this year and is still going strong for my mother. He is a wonderful horse with lovely gaits and was the perfect horse for me at the time. Re: Ah HA! I TOLD you so.....(Color Bias)

Yes, I know there are knaps and blocked coloured WBs, but they are quite rare in the grand scheme of things so wouldn't have much impact on the results.

The example you provide is pretty sad and it's a shame stuff like that happens. I'd like to believe that's an exception rather than the rule.

Re: Ah HA! I TOLD you so.....(Color Bias)

I don't think you can interpret this as a colour bias necessarily. I think breed would be a better predictor of scores than colour. If you consider all the breeds whose scores would be incorporated into the solid colour group versus those that would be included in the block and spotted colour groups...

Hi Guys, I had a lesson with Lee Tubman today. I had never ridden with him before and I was super impressed with his eye and his ability to explain things.
