Wow, really interesting. The 10m walk circles is what relaxed Deneb to the point where I felt safer riding her. Not quite as structured as your walks, but yes.... Lots of walk circles.

I prefer riding to stay fit than any other kind of exercise. At 56 I have found that riding six horses in a day makes me ache. So I am trying to either get fitter, or cut back.
However, losing weight and staying fit is very important for my health so I will keep doing it until I cannot

Silk, I am sorry for your loss. I had to put to sleep a project horse myself this week, due to a neck injury that was chronic. It is very difficult without a definitive diagnosis to know when to do it. I hope the extensive problem you found comforted you in having made the right decision.
