Re: Tell me about your "difficult" horse-- or difficult times

Ponichiwa, I'm not sure where you are located but see if you can find an animal Bowen practitioner. They can help horses with longstanding issues such as spooking and general anxiety as well as any physcal issues. Bowen will help lower adrenaline and cortisol levels that have become stuck at elevate...

Re: The Feeling of Connection and Contact

Ok, I'll take the plunge. 1. To me contact and connection are 2 different things. You can have contact without connection, you can have connection without contact and you can have contact and connection. Contact to me is strictly the feel of the physical contact of hand to mouth through the reins. C...

Re: Reiki

Chisamba, have you tried Bowen therapy? I have use it on horses with great results and I am now taking the human training. It is noninvasive but very powerful. The therapist will do a couple of moves then leave the room for a couple of minutes to allow your body to start processing the moves then th...

Re: A puzzle: the gallop in two time

Hi Kathy, It wasn't until the late 1800s that high speed photography was used to show the gallop. Until that point there were many interpretations of how the legs moved. http://io9.gizmodo.com/7-things-we-learned-about-the-world-thanks-to-photograp-453528816 Although a friend's horse would move in a...

The last time I participated in one a number years ago. My husband chose the package and when he opened the box he was surprised to find a Santa head staring back at him  Just the head, nothing else.... Needless to say no one wanted to swap for it. We called it our "decapitated Santa&quo...

Re: I am a 12 yr old boy inside or, unfortunate names

At work there used to be a guy who issued technical documents explaining new technologies and processes. His name was Elmo Butt. We always wondered if he had brothers named Harry and Seymour. I must admit to having a little giggle when he issued a new document to us.

I'm with you Suz. October 15 was a year since Harry died. I find that the week leading up to an anniversary is worse than the day of for some reason. Most days are pretty good but there are some days that I go into that special hell. Joe and Harry will always be part our lives. ((HUGS))

I started sabre fencing about 8 years ago and love it! I was looking for something totally different from riding a saw an ad in the paper. I never knew that there was any fencing club in my area but there are actually 3 in Kingston which is about 45 minute drive from me. It's great fun and I have ma...
