Love it! Pretty girl.

Just did this with my Lusitano cross filly last month. First ride and then hurt herself in the field:( 2 weeks stall rest for her efforts. But she was sooo good to get on! Could care less with me up there, at least at the walk. I love a good minded young horse and it looks like Desi is doing well with stepping up and being a big girl.

She was a bit like a wiggly table with wheels underneath but she had only had a handful of rides under saddle when I hopped on that day.

It's a bit weird getting used to the Western gear.

Good for you ! I too had to ride in western tack a few times, it sure is a strange feeling. After a couple times, I almost liked it..LOL

It's similar to my Spanish gear but not as comfortable to ride in and I have problems getting a proper seat in a Western saddle whereas the Spanish ones fit me and the horse much better.

I am returning for the next ride just after Christmas. 8-)

Got this report from her starter yesterday
"We are getting Desi out in the hills, moving cattle and introduced rope work and the jump stand. She is still very busy & quick, but is learning well."

I'm really looking forward to seeing her progress since the last visit where she had only been ridden a few times.

I've been working with her half brother Zeus and had my first canter on him at home this week.
