Why won't the Saudi's take in the refugees?

Postby carpevita » Sat Nov 21, 2015 1:47 am

I wonder why this nation is willing to pay for 200 new mosques in Germany, but wont take in any refugees themselves.
And why does the rest of the world say nothing?

I don't know, but I suspect that you'd be better off banging your head against a brick wall than waiting for a sufficient answer on this. I prefer not to judge myself in comparison with others but to the ideals I hold to be true. In other words, my opinion on refugees is not affected by what the saudis do or don't do.

They have taken some. I'm not sure many Syrians would actually want to go to such a repressive state.

I don't think anyone wants to move to Saudi Arabia. Suffice to say, the sooner the world moves away from its dependence on oil, the better our long term political stability prospects.

Dependent on Saudi oil or dependence on oil? There is a difference.

While I overall don't like the dependence that the world currently has on oil, I also don't see an easy/quick/effective energy solution that would remove that dependency.
