I have. We have Skype at work and it is pretty easy. We all like a product called Zoom better though. We've found the connection to be more reliable. You can share your screen, have someone else share a screen, give over control of your computer to someone else, record the session, have up to 50 people (free) on the session etc.

It's how I've done lessons the past 7 years...it works pretty well.

The basic theme is you hook up a live streaming product, with a camera capable of capturing enough detail the instructor can see, and sufficient internet upload/download on both ends that it can push the video in a smooth, timely manner. Then use a phone/Bluetooth to have hands-free audio communication. The detail of how you do it -- Skype vs other, the hardware, whether you use a Pixio/Soloshot, etc -- is all negotiable to what works best for an individual.

You also need an instructor able to navigate the computer enough to get their end up and working, with the ability to teach using absolutely nothing but their voice (they don't get to see in 3-D anymore, they don't get to use visual cues to help the rider, they don't get to climb on the horse for just one minute, etc).

If you do a web search for virtual lessons, there are numerous articles about how to do it. There is/was also "Clinic in the Cloud" that offered a turnkey version of it.

Thanks Angela9823 and Kelo.

I was thinking more of using exclusively Iphone for filming my riding session and transmitting it via Skype to a trainer, the other options seem to be much more complicated.
