Scores - 6 year old test

Postby musical comedy » Sun Aug 25, 2019 2:56 pm

These scores blow my mind. Imagine coming in dead last in a class of 15 with a 76%. What are they going to do when the scores reach 100? I suppose they will have to add an 11 on to the numbers.

They've already gone to half points, so eventually will likely just give all 9's and the rankings will be determined by the digits to the right of the decimal point. And then when everyone is getting 9.99's they'll just have to go to thousandths. :-)

The tests are different- specifically they get marked on gaits too. this type of test skews "high" and can not be directly compared to the "regular" tests. Its very common to get a lot of 8/9s on this tests.

It will be like figure skating scoring! 9.9! 9.8! 9.9! 9.6! (gasp of horror at low score) 9.8!

Yeah, these tests are nothing like regular tests, so you can't compare. Like the scores for the dressage seat equitation class or the scores in breed classes. There are just 3 scores for each gait, submission, and perspective (potential as a dressage horse).
