I know. It seems every week or so in Eurodressage I see an article about someone that was hurt badly from a horse.

YESSSSSSS.

I was at my local tack store the other day. I spent a couple minutes looking at some of the clothing, and they had a nice t-shirt with a silhouette of a dressage horse and rider that I would have contemplated buying BUT for the fact that the rider was wearing a top hat and I refuse to endorse that NOT wearing a helmet while on a horse is ok in any way.

I support an individual's right to choose whether or not they protect their head, but I think that people at the top or that are otherwise looked up to NEED to wear helmets because of the example they set for everyone else. If they top dressage riders in the world wear helmets, most other people will start follow their example over time.

This is definitely a step in the right direction!

The IDRC was beginning to react negatively , things like :market won, nanny state, need better design kind of comments, and Gabrielle Grunig posted the Courtney Dye helmet safety video. And that was it.

It's about time. Now I need to change the silhouette on the front of this page.

This made me chuckle. I do egg decorating (pysanky = batik/Ukrainian egg decorating) and am about to do a series of equestrian/dressage-themed eggs. I'm getting inspiration from clip art images depicting various dressage movements, however I've been steadfastly altering the headwear to turn their top hats into helmets!!!

Is it an SVG? Send me the image file, and I'll update.

It's not an SVG. I don't even remember what it is...I will have to find the file. When I do, I may take you up on it.

Send it my way. It'll be simple to revise.
