If you are after a solo shot, this is a pretty good deal :D I thought about ordering one when they announced them and were 50% off but didn't, think I made a mistake and should get one now as a christmas present to myself!

I saw that! I really really want one, but where I already have a video camera that I set in the corner of my ring from which I can get some ok video, I can't really justify the expense. Sigh. One day!

We ordered one when they were 50% off. DH said it was $499. I hope it works because the earlier ones didn't work in a metal indoor.

Rosie, they are so worth it! But once the 3s are out, there will probably be 2s around cheap second hand.

Looks like the indoor accessory is $60, although I didn't read all the specs to see if anything else would be needed. Soloshot says it only tracks to 100' indoors, so it would probably need to be set up in the center of most indoors.

Oh, I soooo want one of these....
For those that have one - are they easy to use/set-up?
I ride in a metal indoor also, why wouldn't they work in a metal building?

I think they track via satellite, so previous versions haven't worked inside buildings. Don't know if they've added some kind of an infrared tracker with the indoor accessory?

The new ones coming out next year are meant to be able to work indoors.
The current ones use GPS, although I think someone on COTH forum said they were able to set up the base outside and the tag worked under cover (will have to go check and confirm that though).

Current ones are a bit of a nuisance to set up, but you get quicker at it. The new ones they reckon can be done in 30sec, which is why I'm getting one!
