Book Recommendations

I've known this family since the 1980's, and Ann Marie only recently. She nails rural life in the '60's and 70's.

I'm currently reading "Circling the Sun" a fictionaled bio of Beryl Markham, aviatrix and thoroughbred trainer in Africa in the 20s-30s. Outstanding story and I can't wait to read more tonight. Author is Paula McLain.

That word would be fictionalized. I HATE editing on the iPad.

I read Markham's memoir - West with the Night. Enjoyed it a lot.

I'm not too far into Michael Frayn's "Headlong," but so far I'm completely in love with it. Nerdy art history fun.

Just finished listened to Ellis Avery's "The Teahouse Fire" on audiobook. It was interesting - about an American orphan adopted by the family of a Kyoto tea master in the 1860s - but not super memorable. Might have been different (better) if I read it instead of listened to it...

My all-time favorite. No one need post the drama regarding whether or not she really wrote it.
