Holiday Card Exchange

Everyone is encouraged to participate in the Holiday Card Exchange!
Even if you participated last year, please send me an email anyhow to let me know you want to participate this year so I don't have to keep checking back here. My e-mail is k dot kirchner at windstream dot net. Do not PM me; I may not receive the PM and that would only bring holiday sadness.
How Does It Work?
Everyone sends me their info (as detailed below) and I'll divide the participants so that each person receives a list of names to send cards to. In the past few years, people got a list of 10 to send to. I will keep the groups about the same size this year.
Can I Send a Card to Everyone who Participates?
Yes! In addition to your list, I will e-mail you the complete list, too.
Can You Set It Up So That I Can Have a List Composed of Certain People?
Unfortunately, I will not be able to do that. However, because you will have the entire list, you will be able to send a card to anyone you want to, IN ADDITION TO THE 10 ON YOUR LIST.
Procedure
1. E-mail your real name, UDBB name and mailing address (city/state/postal code/country) to me at k dot kirchner at windstream dot net by November 15th, 2015. Be sure to put UDBB Card Exchange in the subject line. If you're in the U.S. and do not wish to send a card to someone in another country, please tell me. As always, I will keep the (historically small number of) Canadians in each other's groups.
2. I will compile a list of all the participants with their names and addresses.
3. On (or about) December 1st, I will e-mail you your list of approximately 10 names and the mailing information. Each participant MUST send a card to each one of the people on her (or his) list. I will include the entire list, too.
4. Go to the store and pick out some cards. Write in them if you want – personal notes are good. Photos are wonderful. Put a stamp on ‘em and mail ‘em by a reasonable date so that they are delivered in time for the recipient to put them on the mantel, stick them on the refrigerator, etc. Note that if you are in the U.S. and have a recipient on your list who is in another country, go to the USPS website http://ircalc.usps.com/ to find out how much postage to put on there. It shouldn’t be too much. If you are in a country outside the U.S., I’m sure you will be able to figure out how much postage you’ll need to send internationally.
INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS ARE WELCOME!
If I have omitted anything or if anyone has anything to add, please post it here!
Remember, my e-mail is k dot kirchner at windstream dot net. Do not PM me; I may not receive the PM and that would only bring holiday sadness.
If anyone has any questions, e-mail me!
HO HO HO and HAPPY HANNUKAH, MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY KWANZAA, and HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE TO ALL!
