Can someone explain Instagram to me?

Why do people post pictures from Instagram into Facebook instead of posting from Facebook directly? Why have two accounts?

To show more people their pic? I've got way more 'friends' on FB than instagram, but I love instagram because I like looking at photos without all the chatter and stuff you get on FB. I follow different accounts on instagram (photgraphers).
It's a lazier way, just sharing the photo, rather than uploading separately.

It's just simpler, if you want to share the same photo to different audiences, to link the accounts rather than repost it twice.

Yes you follow people and they follow you. It "seems like" a picture book version of Facebook. I don't know if you can post anything without a picture.

I am an Instagram freak. Like said above, it is like Facebook without all the chatter. And I post pics of my beautiful, chaotic life daily.
