Riding a horse in Paris

Postby PaulaO » Mon Oct 19, 2015 4:23 pm

My God, it only took me an hour to figure out how to resize. And it's too small but when I made it a skoosh bigger, it's too big...

Anyway, this is me and my travel partner in crime Patti (I'm the blond in the glasses) riding the carousel at the base of the Eiffel Tower. We recently spent 2 weeks in Paris and it was glorious.

Wow, you were lucky to find such steady schoolmasters!

I would love to hear more about your trip. Some day, I shall visit Paris.

Patti took 1500 pictures. I won't bore you with the slide show but am happy to answer any questions, and tell you where to go and eat and shop and what museums to visit!

Thanks, I will PM you when my visit to Paris has moved from sloshing around on the bucket list, to something more in the planning stages. :)

My motto is go big or go home. We rented a lovely apartment for about $200 a night (split the cost so it was only $100 each). I only take one vacation per year and this was it. I live pretty frugally (remember, I only rent a horse, don't own one), have no car payment, and have been saving. We did London the last 2 years (rented a house) and decided to go continental. And we didn't even see everything we wanted, so we have to go back. :D

wow. I'm jealous!! Paris is the most beautiful city i've ever visited. I always thought John and I would get there together, but that's off the agenda. Actually, travelling is pretty much off the agenda. Sigh.

Is it okay if I live vicariously through your trip? :)

I just got back from Paris with a side trip to Amsterdam. The weather was beautiful and those 7 days went fast. Amsterdam is a great place to visit. Fairly inexpensive and everyone speaks English. The Red Light District was fun!
