Horse Sculptures Installed Nearby

[Canyon]

Vermont artist Joseph Fichter was commissioned to create sculptures of wild horses for new roundabouts at a (near-to-me) exit from I-70. He was inspired by a visit to the Little Bookcliffs Wild Horse Range, which is located a few miles to the north.

I like them better in the Vermont pasture than in the middle of our busy street, but nobody asked for my opinion!

Wow--love them! I just passed a very neat shop in Chattanooga, Tennessee last week that had wonderful rusted metal horse sculptures. Apparently the business is mostly about employing people with disabilities and other challenges, but they also do incredible yard art:

I haven't figured out how to order it yet, but I want it! In addition to horses and trees they made an incredible lion pride---so cool!
