Curbing a nippy mini

Postby Minz » Sat Sep 03, 2016 4:40 am

My sweet Newfoundland pony Barnaby has a new bff. A rescue mini by the name of Taco. Taco is the cutest little bugger, but he is turning Barnaby into an Appaloosa. Lol. Barnaby is a white pony with black skin. Taco is taking quarter sized spots of hair from Barnaby's neck, shoulder, chest and right up the jugular. He isn't breaking the skin, it is just unsightly. Has anyone ever put bandage spray on the horse itself? I know Barnaby can be a bug to other horses, but Taco doesn't have a mark on him and Barnaby is covered in these hairless spots. Thank goodness he doesn't wear a halter. I think Taco would have choked him by now. Barnaby's throat is covered in sports. Taco is lucky he is cute or I would be a whole lot more angry. :D

Grazing guard muzzles do help deter rough horseplay
