Another name help thread

Postby PhoenixRising » Wed Oct 21, 2015 9:21 pm

I think I have finally talked the Stallion owner (the sire of my filly) into helping me get Phoenix registered. Its a long story. SO I need to come up with a registered name, not just a barn name. I'm open for suggestions, but would like for the name to include "Phoenix" or at least point to it. I had considered the name "From the Ashes" but feel its too cheesy. Also, FHH says the name can be no longer than 25 charachters, spaces included, and the stallion owner is requiring I put CMF's in front of her name.
These pictures are a bit old now, but the forum says the newer ones are too big. LOL

Is there a requirement for the first letter of the name? As in my breed Westphalians the name must begin with the first letter of the sire or the Dutch rotate through the alphabet.

None that I'm aware of. She's a Friesian/TB, being registered with Friesian Heritage Horse

I've always been partial to the name Phronsie--the baby sister in The Five Little Peppers books.
Your filly is lovely btw.

Well, Maybe Phoenix Rising is the answer LOL. But the registry also wants a backup name in case that is taken. I don't see that being the case, but I'd love other options if any come to mind!

I would use CMF Phoenix or CMF Fawkes (the name of the Phoenix bird in Harry Potter)

I am actually legitimately torn between Phoenix Rising and Fawkes. I LOVE Fawkes and am also drawn to that name.

Phoenix Rising was also my first thought. Fawkes sounds too much like my favorite curse word. I can just imagine that getting mangled over the loud speaker.
