Any needlepointers here?
I'm looking for a good book to help me get started learning needlepoint stitches. Any suggestions?
Re: Any needlepointers here?
This should be interesting! In 1974 I bought a large (?3x5) needlepoint canvas of one of the unicorn tapestries, in Brugge. I never did much on it but maybe it is time!

Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Needlework is my go-to. It's out of print, but of course copies are available on eBay and betterworldbooks.com

FWIW, I often find used books on Amazon as well
I'd rather shop through Amazon than deal with eBay.

(one of those is like 3cents used...only pay shipping). What I often do is use the different stitches within any piece. Just make sure that you have extra yarn!!!

I don't know how I had forgotten, but my mother was a great needlepointer in past years and had this book, among others.

So, I have mastered the continental and basketweave stitches and am planning to start a sampler to learn the more decorative stitches. I have become addicted to needlepoint (why o why did no one warn me of the danger!) and my neck hurts.

I don't have my glasses on and I read that as " I have mastered the continental breakfast stitch" and now I'm hungry.
