Covered bucket for SmartPaks?

Postby PaulaO » Mon Jan 09, 2017 6:54 pm

I started Ariel on SmartPaks. The SoP is put the SPs in a bucket with a lid and hang it on the stall door. Problem is finding a bucket with a lid. Of course I have a 5 gallon round bucket but I don't like the way it looks. I'm thinking outside the box for creative ideas. I'd like a rectangular lidded container so it lies against the stall wall. Something like a large kitty litter bucket.

I've found square lidded buckets on Amazon but you have to buy multiples. I need one. I asked at our work cafeteria and they have nothing.

I'm going to check if the container has to be hard sided. If it can be soft sided a large lunch bag will do.

Any outside the box thoughts?

Perhaps a combination of barn SOP and your preferred square look - one of those buckets with one flat side? Like this: Image

Maybe a small cooler would be more rugged. Or, see if the Goodwill has a bargain Lil Oscar cooler?

Tidy Cat kitty litter comes in a square plastic container and has a hinged lid. Perhaps you could use that?

She couldn't have landed softer.

I'm leaning towards a tub of kitty litter although the logo doesn't really go with the decor.

I'd think a lid would be a royal PITA! Especially in the winter

Try your local grocery store that has a bakery, they get many frostings, batters, etc that come in large buckets with lids. I'd guess they'd be happy to give you a couple or maybe change 50 cents each. Less trash for them to get rid of.

Check Craigslist in your neck of the woods. Look under "free" stuff, or, craft stuff. I'm betting you can find what you need there.

I now have the perfect bucket. I mentioned my need to my friend who works in environmental services and he got me this.
