The barn vending machine

Sells handmade horse cookies--3 for 50 cents! The lady who does the A.M. feeding makes the cookies. I can get a candy bar and Miss A. can get cookies! Doesn't get much better than that.

LOL. My barn doesn't have a vending machine, although at Christmas all the horses got stockings full of apples, carrots, and horse cookies. I recently put a bag of Dove chocolates in my tack box, so now I have 'rider treats' as well as horse treats.

I know, I think it's pretty nifty to have a vending machine. My previous barn was fairly bare bones WRT boarder amenities.

Many years ago, I boarded at a barn that had a soda vending machine. It was an open secret among the regulars that if you pressed the button marked, "OUT OF ORDER," you would get a can of beer, brand as preferred by the barn owner. <G>
