Ok, this is a silly but

I love the new look of the Dover catalog. I can tell I've got serious cabin fever when things like catalogs in the mailbox make me happy.

Ok, now I have spent a litte more time looking through the catalog - I can't find my favorite model of "riding sport" breeches :( and the photographs of all the dark coats, black saddles and boots seem awfully underexposed - hard to see the details. (maybe it's just me and my old eyes? :D ) But I sure do like the layout design.

Cover paper is nice - thick, with texture - feels "fancy" (this photo does not do it justice). Paper is different, matte - not shiny Layout on the inside is simpler, attractive and clean. (Though like I said, some of the photos of the saddles and boots and coats feel underexposed, too dark) Like that they distinguish between knee patch breeches and full seat with those words across the top of the page. Artsy big photos near the front - some of them that sort of old Polaroid look, faded - nice effect. Very different look that before.

My husband just walked in with a stack of mail and this giddy look about him, and goes "honey, dover just sent us the sexiest catalog!"

  Tulsa! I love it too, it looks so much more modern, and easier to read - the old ones with a gazillion items on each page was never fun to look at.

I must be 'odd gal out'. Give me back the old, functional Dover catalog. Could be an age thing ;)
