Fingernails and Swimming in Chlorine

Postby Tarlo Farm » Thu Mar 09, 2017 6:59 pm

Anyone have any hints or suggestions of what I can do to my nails to protect them from chlorine? I started swimming three days a week a year ago after breaking my leg. I love it, but it's wrecking havoc on my nails. They peel and break if I let them get beyond my nail bed.

I do not think its the chlorine, i think its just the way being immersed in water softens nails. mine get like that when I scrub the horses waterbuckets
