Osiris is settling in.
Starting to feel quite at home... the other cats are not entirely convinced, but it's not all-out warfare!

Yes--He is looking quite at home .
I have one of mine petrified of me at the moment . I accidentally shut her tail in a drawer. Hopefully, she will soon get the idea that I really DIDN'T mean to do that.

Beautiful cat!
Re: Osiris is settling in.
What a majestic animal. His name fits him for sure. What kind of a cat is it?

Snork, he is a rather fancy Siamese as far as we know. He came from the shelter, believe it or not. He's apparently 8. He turns out to have perfect manners and is a pleasure to have around. I have been waiting to find the hole in his behavior that caused him to be abandoned, but it hasn't shown up yet.
He's actually quite tiny and delicate looking, which doesn't really show up in these pictures. As soon as you get a camera out he's all over you, so really hard to take a good picture of!

Everyone thinks Lexicon is a big cat but he is not. Must be a Siamese thing. Lexi is very small.
Who knows why people abandon animals? Scarlett came to us with one of the best voice recalls EVER. She had clearly been very well obedience trained. And yet she was found abandoned.

Re: Osiris is settling in.
I wonder if he was abandoned because he wasn't "cat-like", a Siamese trait I am told. Amy Farrah Fowler isn't very cat-like, so if someone was looking for that cool, aloof, I do for myself, sort of cat, they would hate her. Of course at his age, I bet it's more likely either a life event sort of thing (child, move, loss of owner, etc).
He is gorgeous! I love his face!

Maybe. But why would you spend the money on a purebred if you didn't know the breed? Siameses are definitely more dog-like than catlike. Lexicon loves to be with his people.

Maybe they didn't buy him? I found Amy Farrah Fowler and I once had a flame point Himalayan given to me as a kitten. Actually though, I know tons of people who plop down big money on purebred dogs without knowing a thing about the breed, so I'm guessing cat people could be the same? Idk, was just a thought. lol

Reading between the lines, I suspect a couple split up and the one who got left with him didn't want him. He's definitely a people person.
