Ariel has bodywork every 4-6 weeks. I knew she needed something, but traditional massage would be too harsh/deep for her. I found Daniela who practices the Masterson Method. It has made a big difference. Here are pics from Thursday's session. This is the most relaxed I've ever seen Miss A.

Re: Ariel's bodywork
Cute!
I have the Masterson book and DVD, and it's pretty easy to do if you want to do a bit in between her professional sessions. Once the horses learn how pleasant it is, they'll release within pretty short sessions. I did a longer session on Pickle last summer and she was falling asleep untied in the middle of the arena. If it makes a three year old relax and stand still for a solid hour, it must be pretty pleasant.
I've been using a body worker who does Reiki and some other modalities, essential oils and energy work stuff that I tend to consider woowoo, but the horses love it.

Keep calm and canter on.
