I have one more radiation treatment and then the hard part of breast cancer treatment is over. I will still have to have a herceptin infusion every three weeks. But I have no side effects from that.
Let me tell you that your worst sunburn where your skin is bright red? There is a color that comes after red. It is purple. And my skin is that color. It hurts more than the mastectomy did!

Have you tried Aquaphor on the rad burn? My sister finished radiation in March and had the same problem. They told her to use that and she swears that stuff is a miracle.

Yeah, I tried using a benzocaine spray last night. That hurt WAY worse than the raw skin pain itself. The skin is granulating and should be starting to dull the pain in a couple days.
