Just this morning I was thinking I should make some soup on the wood cook stove, because it certainly is hot enough! And then when I came in from chores I was looking at facebook and America's Test Kitchen had a recipe for tomato soup, which I never make, (tomatoes=summer; soup=winter). But the recipe used canned tomatoes and I had turkey broth and celery in the freezer, and onions and garlic, so I made tomato soup. I also had a head of cauliflower almost thawed so I cooked that and made a cheese sauce for it. What a great combo. Mixed them all together in a bowl and I've had two bowls so far and am thinking about a third.
Don't know why this ended up here? I was able to delete the duplicate in Recipes, but not this one.

Did you a grilled cheese sandwich to go with it?

I make a roasted cauliflower and tomato soup, sometimes with cheddar, but mostly without. Its a brilliant, filling combo.

I put enough cheese in the sauce that a cheese sandwich would have been redundant, but did have toast with it, with butter, which is probably why I'm gaining weight.
