He is atm in the vet hospital with maybe peritonitis but we aren't sure. He is a very uncomfortable pony with a temp and looks like he has been sedated which he hasn't. Will find out more tomorrow monrning.

This mornings updat he has a high grad infection. Stomach tap showed pure puss. He will stay in hospital until we are happy he is out of the woods. poor pony has been brewing this for a while even though he looked the picture of health and has been as bright as ever until 2 days ago.

Excellent news! Lewyn is such a gorgeous boy!

Just had a talk to vet and he has infection in the stomach cavity, not caused by any sticks or anything like that. They are watching him for any changes including stress founder. Feet are checked every day. He comes off the pain-antiinflam today and on bute. Inflamitory markers are coming down and he should come home Mon afternoon. He then has 5 days ab's orally and gets a blood test in week and a half. I they are good then he goes into light work. If all goes well he will go to NPOTY but only if we are happy with him. He is eating and drinking well so that is good to.

He is home. Box rest and oral AB's for 2 weeks then blood test to see if infection is gone.

He so needs work, he is jumping out of his skin. Just gave him a bath, he loves his baths but all he wanted to do is play. Put him out and he just about bounced out. Being confined to stable and yard with no work and feeling so good in himself makes pony bouncy. Another week of this. Eeek.
