Mom's on the lookout for a new horse. She's open to all breeds, sex, colors, etc.
Requirements:
- between 14H and 16H
- sane
- quiet
- wtc
- suitable for pleasure/trail riding, with a bit of low level dressage (she may never show)
- located within a day's drive of Memphis, TN
- under $4k
She just lost her 28yo appy gelding, who came to us as a 2yo. He was a quirky character, but quiet and level-headed. The only times he ever exhibited any ye-haw let's spook or buck were on his first encounter with a peacock around age 4, and when a dirt bike came flying up behind us on trail (G leapt and kicked, narrowly missing the guy's head). He just wasn't interested in expending energy on any unecessary movement
Mom needs a horse of the same caliber.
So, if you personally know of a suitable horse, please let me know. We're not looking through sales pages, but going by word of mouth. And there's no time frame -- she's in no rush.

Re: Casual horse hunt
Condolences in the loss of her riding buddy. Good luck in your search for a new partner, it's hard to replace the steady eddies that we trusted so much.

Thanks. It's hard. He was such a good guy, and the absolute perfect fit for her.
