A missed Kodak moment

Postby PaulaO » Tue Dec 11, 2018 11:20 pm

We have a new boarder who has ridden and trained through I1. Tonight he was long lining his Dutch mare. Into the arena comes a little girl, maybe 5 or 6, on her 20something year old teeny pony. Such a study in contrasts, and so cute! The little girl rode right past to the far end of the ring. Wish I had a camera.

Barn extended families can be great. I bet it would have made a great photo. I am sure there will be other chances. I hope someone introduced one to the other

I am enjoying getting to know our young archers and have watched and shot with some over the last 3 years. To see them growing into fine young men and women is a great joy. I particularly like seeing how other parents raise their kids the right way. Mine were pretty dysfunctional.

That's why I love my barn. It's big, and has all types of riders--trail, h/j, a few of us dabble in dressage, gaited horses. Heck, one boarder has 4 retirees. People are very friendly and encouraging despite their differences.
