Gifting my AP saddle?

Postby PaulaO » Sat Jan 05, 2019 1:45 pm

I’ve been letting a fellow boarder use my AP saddle. I bought it used and it’s been sitting around for over a year. She asked me how much I wanted for it and wrote me a check. Thing is, I don’t want any money for it. I’m fine to give it to her. She got into horses later in life and was so excited to buy her first saddle. Am I weird?

Nope. I've done it. I ended up accepting a token amount ($20) so it was a cleaner transaction for the recipient.

Give the money to your favorite equine charity--or ask her to make a donation instead.

That is awesome - it is nice to "pay it forward" some times :)

Agreed! I think it's a great thing to do.
