I have read several articles stating that Kathy Kusner (Olympic show jumper) was the first licensed female jockey. Both are amazing women!

Yes, the Wapo article talks about the suit to get her license, but she was I hired before she could race.
It takes some guts to go through all that at any age, but facing that controversy at twenty!
