Freestyles: rising OR sitting trot TL to Fourth?!!

I just noticed this execution comment on ALL of the freestyle tests Training to Fourth level. I get that trot work can be done rising at Training through First level, but am blown away that I could rise the trot without penalty at higher levels! Has this always been the case?

This is a game changer for Jet’s medium & extended trot work. If I’m allowed to rise, even for part of it, he finds it much easier to lift his back and come through over the topline. Wow!

That's a mistake unless things are different in Canada. I thought they used the same tests and rules as USA. Note the USA 4th level test is SITTING.

I just learned that it *was* a printing error and that Dressage Canada issued a correction subsequently. Yet, on the official Dressage Canada website, they did not fix the error!

Oh well.

Wow. That's interesting. Have you notified them of the error?

There's an error in the USDF rulebook about the consecutive levels chart, but their response is "you should just know it."
