Ariel and the purple halter

Postby PaulaO » Sat Aug 10, 2019 7:54 pm

Horses wear halters in turnout. Non negotiable. Miss A. initially had the SmartPak Field Safe halter. She broke the snap in about 2 months. We’ve gone through a couple of halters since then, the last one lasting for about a year. She lost the navy blue one about 2 weeks ago so I brought out the hunter green , the last of the stash. In the meantime, I ordered 3 Centaur breakaways from Adams Horse Supply. The next lost or busticated halter gets replaced by a bright purple one. A copper chestnut in purple???

Copper mare, don't care!

Why not? It can be quite smart especially in a darker purple.

Someone is now wearing the bright purple halter. She came in without her hunter green halter. I walked the pasture and couldn't find it. If she slips this one, I should be able to spot it. I may look into bright orange....

I was going to say, electric orange or one with a tracker chip sounds like a good idea to me.

Doesn't matter what color it is if you're constantly having to track it down!
