Who uses their dressage whip to delicately brush flies off their horse's neck and ears while riding?? lol

It's been a little warm and humid here recently which has resulted in swarms of mosquitos. Unfortunately I ride near dusk, so they can be horrific while riding. When we're walking on a loose rein, I often use the tip of my whip to brush mosquitos off Bliss's ears and neck. He seems to appreciate the attention and service.

Anyone else do this?

My mares might appreciate that to my normal technique: smacking the hell out of the bug
