My rescue kitty got a home

Postby khall » Sat Oct 24, 2020 2:52 am

I found this kitten in our back “yard” where we live in the middle of 43 acres. She was pretty sick with typical upper respiratory illness and parasites but oh so sweet. No idea where she came from. Got her healthy and turned her over to a cat rescue because I did not need another pet to care for as much as I adored her. And baby doll aka Winter found a home! Such a unique color and just the best temperament

She was not with them even 2 weeks

Oh wow. Even my "cat-hating" DH would have been all over her! (He really adore cats, just hates the allergies).

Texsuze I’ve fostered for years. Usually dogs/puppies but the occasional kitten will pull my strings. Just these last couple of years I’ve had to back off because of my aging dementia parents ( lost dad in February this year). But it is still so rewarding and I’m glad I found this kitten so I could wet my feet again. Oh she really is such a good girl and I knew she would find a home quickly.

This was one of my last foster dogs Koda and my biggest training challenge but such a huge reward when he turned around from an out of control delinquent to a wonderful loving ready for a family dog. He went up north to another rescue (I’m in Georgia where unwanted pets is such a huge issue) a d was adopted within the first week.

Beautiful kitty and reminds me of a Turkish Van with the longer white coat. Our 3 rescue kitties are doing well and had vaccines yesterday - confirmed all are females. We are scheduling another appt for spaying. Cat rescue groups here are over whelmed so I am hoping by fostering with contact with one group some be able may to find homes. Two would make lovely house cats as friendly but the other may be a shredder as she loves to climb and is more spooky.

The kitten I found 2 months ago that seemed days from death also found a home!

The vet loved her and kept her! Made me so happy and worth my and my dear friends efforts.

Here is another reason why our local cat rescue groups are over whelmed.

I’m assuming it’s bittersweet to foster. I would get attached then be happy yet sad when foster got a forever home. Winter is adorbs. Maybe some Meezer in there?
