I've been watching every few nights (if I remember to look before they set!) in case tonight is cloudy. I just set the alarm on my phone as a reminder to get outside. I wish I had a telescope!

It's been 800 years since the planets have been this close and visible at night, and it will be another 800 years until this conjunction is so close again.

typical in Puget Sound country we had weather during a unique event. Even more unusual , it was snow. I guess the rarer the event, the rarer the weather. It snowed about 2 inches at sundown and it has pretty much melted overnight. What the heck?

Another thing worth seeing is the Aurora Borealis -

last night there were some awesome views on this cam, which is located in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada

https://explore.org/livecams/aurora-bor ... lights-cam

if you scroll down the page there are highlights from last night as people screencapped them. It's still daylight right now, but as the night falls, and if there are no clouds, there should be decent chances of seeing them again.

That same one is on youtube under

It won't let me post the otehr links in the same post, so here's a continuation to the above -

In addition, there are other cams from northern Finland, and as it's already night time there, the northern lights could be visible - just depends on the weather and one's luck

Horizon cam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhGCYJuWv5I

Sky cam, same location as the above horizon cam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYh6rUKl6wE

And a different location in Utsjoki, Finland - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yEgRAIBFzU

This was visible to the naked eye and better with binoculars in E TN last night. Quite stunning!
