New Adventures

Postby PhoenixRising » Mon Sep 12, 2022 1:17 am

Finances, time restrictions, and a rapidly changing barn dynamic… it was time. Phoenix and I left our barn of 7 1/2 years this weekend.
It’s bittersweet, but I’m so looking forward to everything the new barn has to offer.
She’s partial leased now to a girl 3 days a week, and the other 3 days are for me and my new trainer. She’ll also take lessons so we will all be on the same page.
The new barn is much bigger and busier. It’s not quiet.
And honestly I kinda love that, I think in time she’s going to become less reactive.
I’m excited that she’s going to be back in consistent work, and I’m excited to see her get stronger, and hopefully start moving forward in training again.
Stay tuned, I may have lots of questions. Without diving too deep, moving to this barn lets me be a much more active owner and make more choices.
Hopefully now I’ll have things worth posting about again.

Good to hear from you. I have been much more active with my horse since moving my horse last November. We had been at that barn for 15 years! Having decent footing has really invigorated my riding. Having a 1/2 leasor will be great for your horse. She should revel in all the attention.

Enjoy!
