What a great way to do rehab after finishing chemo

Postby Shirrine » Sun Dec 13, 2015 7:55 am

Finished chemo Wednesday then headed out with the van to 4 days of state dressage titles. If you can do that then you are half way to heaven. Saw some lovely ponies and some of our best GP horses. Some people I haven't seen all year and had lovely weather. What else could I ask for except maybe one of my ponies being there. Next year.

That sounds like a terrific trip under any circumstances. It's wonderful you were able to go and enjoy it. Yes, next year!

I am amazed by the speed of your recovery. When I finished chemo I was on food and germ restrictions for at least four weeks after.

Good on YOU!

I am not recovered but this last lot of chemo has been easier. My bloods have been really good last few tests so my imune system has been fine. I was determined to go to this if possible and yes I got shakey as times but I just had a sit to catch up. All I was doing was walking and watching.
